In Maya Kinx, the aim is to score as many points as possible.
You can spin the five reels up to three times per round (Spin key). The aim is to score as many points as possible with matching symbols, which must be arranged in a winning line starting with the reel on the left.
After every spin, you have the option to set the symbols you have displayed so far (Set key). Note: The symbols must be set after every third spin. If you do not achieve a valid combination in three tries, you must strike any number from the overview.
There are nine winning lines in total in Maya Kinx. For details of the winning lines please refer to the screenshots on the right.
A small number can appear at the beginning of each line (left) to denote the score. If there is no line or score, the result is not high enough.
Before spinning, you may hold one or several reels for the next spin. To do so, simply click on the reels you want to lock in place - they will be highlighted with a golden frame.
The overview is displayed automatically after three spins. You must either set symbols or strike points in this screen. The more matching symbols you have, the more points you can achieve in the overview. A block of symbols can consist of two to five symbols. If you have reached a whole block for a symbol in the overview, i.e. set them all, you receive a bonus of 1,000 points.
You have 20 seconds (timer) for each spin and for every time you set symbols in the overview - otherwise the game spins the reels again, sets available symbols after the third spin, or strikes a number from the overview.
So the trick is to employ experience and skill in order to achieve the highest score possible while cleverly setting symbols or striking points in the overview.
Keep an eye on your game, as the reels will spin automatically when your time runs out (timer). Also remember that you can transfer symbols to the overview after every spin, and that a line of symbols always begins with the left-hand reel.
After every spin, you can set your points in the overview. The sooner you do so, the more spins you keep. You have a total of 45 spins available.
You can hide and unhide the winning lines left and right of the reels for a better view of the game.
The symbol of the Mayan calendar serves as a joker in Maya Kinx. This means the Mayan calendar can replace any other symbol. For example: You only need one more symbol to complete your line - the Mayan calendar can complete it. Please note that the symbols must form a winning line starting from the first reel (left). The Mayan calendar may only replace other symbols, it cannot form its own winning line. This means you need at least one other symbol in the line.
